Connect to Cirro with DBVisualizer using these steps.

Before You Start

Before you set up any SQL client, you’ll need:

Download Cirro JDBC client

  • Open Cirro in a web browser.

  • Click Download Drivers, found at the bottom of the page.

  • Click the JDBC driver.

  • Choose a download folder then click OK

Download Application

  • Open DBVis homepage

  • Click Downloads and choose the application installer relevant to your system.

  • Install the application on your client machine.

  • Start DBVisualizer.

Set up Driver

It’s a three step process to set up the Cirro JDBC driver.

  • First step, add a new JDBC driver.

    • Choose Tools from the menu then Driver Manager

    • Click .

    • Give the driver a name (we suggest “Cirro”).

    • Click .

  • Second step, add the JDBC file.

    • Browse for the cirroclient.jar and select it.

    • Click Open.

  • Third step, set the driver class.

    • Choose in the Driver Class field.

    • Click Ready.

    • Close the window.

Create Database Connection

The connection wizard includes three steps.

  • First step, create a connection.

    • Choose Tools from the menu then Connection Wizard.

    • Name your connection (we suggest “Cirro”).

  • Second step: Choose the Cirro JDBC driver from the drop-down list.

  • Third step: Enter connection details:

Database URL This is your Cirro system URL in form jdbc:cirrosecurity://[ip address or hostname]:1527/cirro jdbc:cirrosecurity://
Database Userid Your Cirro account name. MyCirroUser
Database password Your Cirro account password. Remember to include your Timed One-Time Password if you have one. MyCirroPassword
  • Click Finish.

Connect to Cirro

  • Right-click the connection in the tree.

  • Click Connect.
