Connect to Cirro with DBeaver using these steps.

Before You Start

Before you set up any SQL client, you’ll need:

Download Cirro JDBC client

  • Open Cirro in a web browser.

  • Click Download Drivers, found at the bottom of the page.

  • Click the JDBC driver.

  • Choose a download folder then click OK

Set up Driver

It’s a five step process to add the Cirro JDBC driver.

  • First step is to open the driver Manager.

    • Start DBeaver and cancel the initial setup (if starting from a new install).

    • Next, click Database then Driver Manager.

  • Second step is to add the Cirro JDBC driver.

    • Click New in the Driver Manager dialog.
  • Third, you’ll click Add File to open the file browse dialog.

  • Fourth, browse for cirroclient.jar then click Open.

  • Finally,

    • click Find Class and choose

    • click Ok.

Set up a connection

The next stage is to connect to a Cirro database using your account name and password.

Start by creating the new connection.

  • Click Database then New Database Connection.

Next, choose Cirrojdbc from the connection list and click Next.

  • In the third step you’ll enter your Cirro details, the hostname or IP address, your Cirro account name and password.

User name Cirro username created for this connection. cirrouser
Password Matching password for Cirro username. cirropassword
Save Password Locally Untick if Cirro account has a Timed one-time password. You’ll be prompted for a password on each connection.  

You can also click Network Settings or Connection details to add advanced settings.

  • Click Finish

Connect to Cirro

  • Right-click the connection in the tree.

  • Click Connect.
