Agents help spread the load of data migration on remote or local database servers. The standard Cirro license comes with one RDBMS Agent and you can install as many as you like on the local server.

View All Data Agents

  • Click Data Management then Agents.
Column Name Description
Name User supplied agent name
Host Hostname or IP address where agent is installed
RMI Port Java Remote Machine Invocation port number
Status regularly updated status of server performance, including Operating System cores, average process load, average system load, memory usage and threads. This is the equivalent of what top, uptime or cat/proc/loadavg would show.

Add a remote agent

Add Data Agent

You can create up to two local data agents on any Cirro server. The default agent runs RDBMSTransfer.

  • Click data management then Add Agent.

  • Enter the Agent Name.

RMI Port Java Remote Machine Invocation port number By default, RMI registry uses port 1099. However, this may differ based on your Server configuration.

  • Click Create Agent.

View agent activity

The Agents Status column provides a regularly updated status of server performance. This is the equivalent of what top, uptime or cat/proc/loadavg would show.

  • Click Data Management then Agents.

The Status column displays regularly updated status on these items:

  • Operating System cores

  • average process load

  • average system load

  • memory usage

  • threads

Delete Agent

  • Click Delete.

  • Click OK on the confirmation message.
