SQL command disables a user account and prevents login. Password reset enables the account once more, once user has chosen a new password.

Syntax


DISABLE USER 'userName';

Arguments

  • userName: The name for the user. Optionally, enclose in single quotes.

Additional Information

  • View SYS.USERS system table to view user disabled/locked status.

  • Use RESTRICT USER command to reset user account password and enable the user account. The user will be required to reset their password before the account is unlocked and they can access Cirro.
